Temporary Gate Guard

This position involves providing security at a perimeter gate of the Lincoln Airport during times of construction activity. The duration of this temporary job is based on each construction project necessitating a Lincoln Airport Authority Gate Guard. Part time work hours will normally be between 6:30 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Some overnight and Sunday work hours may be necessary based on contractor work schedules. Exact hours will be scheduled per Lincoln Airport Authority needs. This is a part time/temporary position and does not include any Airport Authority benefit plans.

Airport Communications Operator

The Lincoln Airport Authority is accepting application for a Communication Operator to work evening hours. Job duties include monitoring security systems, operating public address systems, monitoring aviations radios, dispatching Airport Law Enforcement and maintenance personnel, monitoring building safety systems, responding to customer phone inquiries, maintaining logs and some clerical functions, and receiving and disseminating airfield information and conditions. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. They must qualify and be insurable, at normal policy rates, under the Airport Authority’s vehicle liability and worker’s compensation insurance policies. Candidates must pass a criminal history records check and background investigation as required by the Transportation Security Administration. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, fluent in English, and have a high school diploma or GED. Computer and keyboarding skills preferred.

Starting wage is $14.98 per hour with eligible LAA benefits. Completed applications may be returned to the Lincoln Airport Authority Communication Center located in the Airport Terminal Building, basement level at 2400 West Adams Street.

Airport Law Enforcement Officer

The Lincoln Airport Authority is accepting applications for an Airport Law Enforcement Officer. This is a full time position consisting of twelve hours shifts from midnight until noon, totaling a scheduled 84 hours every two weeks. The successful applicant must be hard working, self motivated, energetic, and able to work well with the public and other employees. Position involves performing law enforcement duties in an airport and industrial environment including but not limited to providing law enforcement support for the pre-board screening of airline passengers, law enforcement support for the Airport Security Program, patrol of airport property, and runway and taxiway airfield inspections. Applicants must be law enforcement certified by the State of Nebraska, possess a valid Nebraska Motor Vehicle Operator’s license, be fluent in English, and able to pass a Transportation Security Administration background check. Must qualify and be insurable, at normal policy rates, under the Airport Authority’s vehicle liability and worker’s compensation insurance policies. The successful applicant will be certified as a Lincoln Airport Authority Law Enforcement Officer.

Starting wage for this position is $19.21 per hour with excellent benefits.
